Biography
James Babson, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a B.F.A in Drama, played in the Off-Broadway productions of "Sincerity Forever", the American premiere of "After the Rain" and the Brecht Centennial Festival production of "Baal" before traveling to Europe to play Rosencrantz and the Gravedigger in "Hamlet" which was staged at the Globe Theatre in Prague in 2000.Having decided to stay in the Czech Republic, James built an impressive list film credits including a featured roles in Roman Polanski's "Oliver Twist" (2005); "Hellboy" (2004) starring Ron Perlman, John Hurt and Selma Blair; the role of Rudolf Hess in the highly anticipated CBS miniseries, "Hitler: The Rise of Evil" (2003) (TV), across from Robert Carlyle's Adolf Hitler; "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" (2003), starring Sean Connery; "Luther" (2003), starring Joseph Fiennes and Alfred Molina; "Children of Dune" (2003) (mini), directed by Greg Yaintes;Yves Simione miniseries, "Napoleon"(2002) with Isabella Rossellini and Gerard Depardieu'; and the ITV mini-series "Doctor Zhivago" (2002) starring Sam Neil.
